Bread & Blessings began with one simple belief: no one who works hard to build our communities should ever have to go hungry.

Founded by Sarah Gill, a philanthropist from Islamabad, Pakistan, Bread & Blessings was born from years of witnessing the daily struggles faced by construction workers, security guards, daily wage labourers, and other hardworking people who travel from villages across Pakistan to earn an honest living in the capital.

With a professional background in accountancy and experience gained both in Pakistan and abroad, Sarah returned home with a renewed perspective. While many people walked past the men building roads, homes, offices and businesses, she saw something different. She saw fathers separated from their families. She saw workers living in difficult conditions, earning low wages, and often forced to choose between sending money home or buying themselves a proper meal.

It was heartbreaking to see the very people building Pakistan's future spending long days under the scorching sun without enough food to sustain them.

Bread & Blessings was created as a humanitarian charity in Pakistan dedicated to providing freshly prepared meals, clean drinking water, encouragement and a place where workers can sit together, rest, share conversations and regain their strength before returning to work.

Today, Bread & Blessings continues to support construction workers, security guards, city workers, elderly people and vulnerable members of the community through the generosity of volunteers, donors and compassionate supporters who believe that kindness has the power to change lives.

Our vision is simple. To create a Pakistan where no hardworking person is forgotten, where every act of generosity restores hope, and where every shared meal reminds someone that they are valued, respected and never alone.
